Dimapur, Dec. 30 (EMN): The 9th edition of ‘Walu Aten’ (assembly of leaders) of the Khensa Students’ Union (KSU), which commenced on December 26 with Asangla Imti, secretary of Health and Family Welfare, as the special guest and Sashi Wapang Lanu, additional commissioner of Central GST, Dimapur, as the speaker on the theme “Renkettsüngshiro,” culminated on December 29.
Addressing the gathering, Asangla congratulated the culture club of Khensa for representing the Ao tribe at the recently concluded Hornbill Festival.
Speaking on the theme “Rekettsüngshiro,” she said ‘Walu Aten’ means ‘Assembly of leaders’ and questioned the students whether they are worthy to be called as “Walu Aten.” According to her, there are three categories related to the theme namely ‘society, community and village,’ which could be further classified into many. She emphasised on the individual’s strength and renewal, which according to her is the most important component to bringing about overall change.
She encouraged the students to have determination, conviction, will power and courage.
