Nagaland junior engineers temporarily calls off its proposed protest

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): The All Nagaland Junior Engineers’ Association (ANJEA) has temporarily called off the democratic protest concerning the Grade-B promotion issue following a meeting with the secretary of the Works and Housing department on Monday.

ANJEA, in a statement, said that it had a “healthy meeting” to resolve the stagnation issue while problems of the junior engineers with regard to the Nagaland Engineering Service Rules (NESR) was “deliberated and discussed”.

It said that the state government has assured to address the issue on priority after a consultative meeting with all the stake holders and HoDs from Public Works Department (PWD), Power and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).
