DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) extended Resurrection Sunday greetings to all churches and believers across Nagaland.
In a message, the forum stated that the gospel is not only about salvation but also about how believers conduct themselves in Christ. It emphasised that faith should be reflected in daily living through loving one’s neighbours and doing good to others.
The NJCF urged that, as people celebrate Resurrection Sunday, they should move away from personal interpretations of being Christian and instead embrace a more biblical understanding of Christianity.
It appealed to all Nagas to practice love and work towards building a society rooted in peace and justice.
It also called on communities currently at odds with each other, often engaging in hateful and self-justifying exchanges, to instead focus on building bridges and creating opportunities for dialogue and reconciliation.

“This Resurrection Sunday is a reminder that we cannot do it on our own. And for much too long we have taken things into our own hands, trying to do things in our own way and in our own wisdom. We have made reconciliation a business as if that is the way to settle our animosity towards each other.
“But peace and reconciliation come from knowing God’s will and doing his will. May this Resurrection Day reminds us of the sacrifice he has made for us and be “reconciled to Him” and actualising in our brokenness, seeking forgiveness from God and from each other,” the message read.
The NJCF further stated that as the celebration of Christmas culminates with the Resurrection on that day, bringing hope for eternity, believers should humble themselves in true worship.
It expressed hope that people would find renewed hope and that the power of the resurrected Lord would be manifested in their lives.
