Nagaland Janata Dal (United) president resigns
Nagaland unit of Janata Dal (United), Senchumo NSN Lotha, on Saturday tendered his resignation to the national president and chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar.
- DIMAPUR — The
president of Nagaland unit of Janata Dal (United), Senchumo NSN Lotha, on
Saturday tendered his resignation to the national president and chief minister
of Bihar, Nitish Kumar.
- In a resignation letter which was submitted through the JDU
national general secretary and NE in-charge, Afaque Ahmed Khan, Lotha mentioned
several reasons for his resignation.
- “So far as the president of JDU Nagaland, I had been looking
at Nagaland mainly from the Indian perspectives. I had always been striving
from the concept that as an Indian, what can I do for my Naga people.
Nevertheless, I have decided to change this outlook and reverse it to reason as
to, as a Naga, what can I do for my own people? What are the most important
priorities that need to be done for the indigenous people of Nagaland in
particular and Nagas in general?”
- Lotha also mentioned that he had met Sanjay Jha, MP and
national working president of JDU, and apprised him of his desire to be
relieved from the said post.
- He, however, expressed readiness to render his service as
and when called for according to the situation and the need of time. Lotha
added that he would always look forward to the JDU as long as Nitish Kumar is
there to lead the party.
- He further wished the national president a good health and
long life and continues to shine upon the backward class of the society in
Bihar in particular and the country in general.
