Nagaland: Indigenous people forum formed

Dimapur, Aug. 23 (EMN): On the directive of the chief convenor of North East Indigenous People Forum (NEIPF), the Nagaland Indigenous People Forum (NIPF) had its maiden meeting on August 22 and nominated the office bearers for a term of three years. The forum is headed by Yibemo Kikon as convenor, Dr. Heshito Chishi as co-convenor, Philip as general secretary, Ale-ü as assistant general secretary, Richard Haolai as press secretary, Vekro Puro as cultural secretary, Nungtok Jamir as treasurer. During the meeting, Nagaland Indigenous People Forum (NIPF) recommended names of three persons namely P Pius Lotha, Dr. T Lima Jamir, and NK Keny in addition to the existing member Khehoto Swu as executive members to NEIPF. This was stated in a press release issued by NIPF press secretary Richard Haolai on Friday.
