DIMAPUR — The state department of Horticulture won another national award for ‘promotion of best horticulture farming and products’ at the recently concluded International Agriculture and Horti Expo held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
The International Agriculture and Horti Expo, which is a yearly event organised by NNS Media Group, was held from July 20 to the 22nd showcasing the best in agricultural and horticultural advancements from across the country, stated a DIPR report.

The department was represented by three officials and a representative from the Entrepreneurs Associates, highlighting the collaborative spirit and commitment towards Horticultural excellence.
It stated that the department showcased products from home grown brands such as perilla seed oil, ginger powder, dry Naga king chilli, sumac powder, candied mango and plum.
Besides, the department also promoted farm fresh produces such as chayote, yam, pumpkin, bird’s eye chilli, large cardamom, dragon fruit, pineapple, plum, pomelo, passion fruit etc., with an intension to promote the organic products of the farmers.
Report further stated that three GI-tagged crops namely Naga tree tomato, Naga cucumber and Naga king chilli were also promoted at the expo.
