- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) organised a two-day refresher
workshop on the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief
Minister Health Insurance Scheme (AB PM-JAY/CMHIS) on June 29 and 30, at the
Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.
- In a press release, the NHPS stated that the primary
objective of the workshop was to strengthen the capacities and deepen the
understanding of key stakeholders involved in the implementation and management
of the schemes.
- The workshop also aimed to enhance service delivery efficiency
and ensure greater transparency in all operational aspects of the programme.
- The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Dr.
Kikameren Longkumer, Joint CEO of NHPS, followed by an overview of the scheme
presented by Livitoli Sukhalu, Deputy CEO, NHPS.

- Other key speakers from NHPS included Neitsophe Sekhamo,
beneficiary verification consultant; Seyievito Denny Kin, data manager-cum-IT
support; Dr. Akaholi V Zhimomi, medical officer, and Dr. Imlinenla Longchar,
monitoring and evaluation manager.
- Additionally, the newly onboarded insurance partner for FY
2025-26, Reliance General Insurance Company Limited, provided an important
session on claim adjudication processes for Medco/PMAM.
- Participants included chief medical officers (CMOs)/deputy
CMOs from all districts, nodal officers from all empanelled hospitals, PMAMs,
representatives from the insurance company and its processing team, as well as
district programme coordinators.
- The two-day event concluded with an interactive Q&A
session that addressed participants' queries and facilitated productive
discussions.
- Meanwhile, the NHPS extended appreciation to all attendees
for their active participation, which contributed to the success of the
workshop.
