KOHIMA — Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak on Tuesday condemned the alleged racial and physical assault on a young doctor from the state at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Taking to social media, the minister expressed concern over the incident and denounced the act. “I strongly condemn the racial and physical assault on a young doctor from Nagaland at AIIMS Gorakhpur, U.P.,” he stated.
Konyak said racism and violence against women are unacceptable and have no place in society. He affirmed that the state government stands in solidarity with the victim and called for swift and decisive justice.
The minister also urged the authorities concerned to take appropriate action to ensure the safety and dignity of citizens, particularly those serving in professional institutions across the country.
