Kohima, July 18 (EMN): Professor N Venuh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University Kohima campus, Meriema, told fresh graduates to be honest and responsible citizens of the society instead of blaming others whenever things go wrong.
He was addressing the fifth graduation ceremony of Don Bosco College, Kohima held at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School auditorium in Kohima on July 16.
'Sometimes, we are not able to analyse ourselves and tend to blame the society, parents and teachers. In fact, majority do not try to analyse themselves and instead point fingers at others. However, every individual has to take the blame when things go wrong', he said.
“There are things which as a student can do--be able to analyse oneself and develop positive attitude towards life,” he said and encouraged them to be honest and responsible citizens of the society. He further urged them to be dedicated, determined, develop self-discipline in order to become a successful person in life.
He also lamented that most of the people do not know how to use God-gifted talents and instead try to be what they are not.
A total of 155 students graduated from the College. University topper Ankita Priyadarshani said the valedictory speech.
