Kohima, July 3 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi went into mandatory self-quarantine on Friday soon after returning from “official travel” to New Delhi.
“Governor RN Ravi, from today (Friday), will be undergoing mandatory self-quarantine upon returning from official travel. However, the governor will continue discharging his responsibilities while in quarantine," read Raj Bhavan a tweet on Friday.
When contacted, sources from Raj Bhavan informed that the governor returned from Delhi on Friday and had gone into self-quarantine at his residence.
The source added that it is not known as to how many days the governor will be under quarantine.
As per guidelines to contain the spread of Covid-19, individuals returning from outside the state have to mandatorily undergo quarantine for two weeks.
