DIMAPUR — Governor of Nagaland Nand Kishore Yadav, along with his family, visited the historic Khonoma Village, Kohima district, on March 14.
In a press release issued by Lok Bhavan, Kohima, the governor was received by the Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, and Lokayukta Nagaland, Nino Iralu, along with village leaders and officials.
During the visit, Yadav interacted with the villagers and community leaders and appreciated the people of Khonoma for preserving their rich cultural heritage and traditional values.
He commended the community for their collective efforts in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable living practices.
“The visit provided an opportunity for the governor and his family to experience the unique cultural heritage, traditions, and scenic beauty of the village while also acknowledging the important role played by the community in preserving nature and promoting eco-friendly practices,” the release stated.
