KOHIMA — Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Thursday announced that he would reduce the size of his entourage by half to conserve fuel, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision.

Taking to X, the governor said that, inspired by the prime minister’s decision to reduce the size of his entourage in the interest of fuel conservation and efficiency, “I too have streamlined my security detail by cutting the number of vehicles in my motorcade by half.”
He stated that every conscious step towards conserving fuel, reducing unnecessary expenditure, and promoting responsible governance contributes meaningfully to a more sustainable and efficient future.
