DIMAPUR — The Governor of Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, has extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasions of Tokhu Emong and Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti.
In his Tokhu Emong message, the governor conveyed his best wishes to the Lotha community and all others celebrating the festival. He described Tokhu Emong as a time of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and a celebration of unity, reconciliation, and generosity. He urged everyone to uphold and promote the rich cultural heritage and values associated with the festival, and wished that the spirit of Tokhu Emong bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to all.
In a separate message, the governor extended greetings to the Sikh community on the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. He said Guru Nanak Dev’s universal message of love, peace, and humanism continues to inspire humanity across the world, and called upon people to live with compassion, selflessness, and devotion to the service of others.
Joining the people of Nagaland in celebrating the occasion, the governor prayed for a peaceful, prosperous, and harmonious state.
