DIMAPUR — Governor of Nagaland Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Sangtam community and the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Mungmung festival.


In his message, the governor said the festival reflects the rich cultural traditions of the Sangtam community and their close bond with nature. He described it as a time to thank the Almighty for a bountiful harvest, to share in unity and to pray for peace and prosperity. He wished that the festival bring happiness, good health and abundant blessings to all.


The chief minister, in a message on X, conveyed warm greetings to the Sangtam community, calling Mungmung a pre-harvest festival that strengthens bonds of unity and harmony. He wished that the occasion would usher in blessings of prosperity and well-being for all.
