Dimapur, April 15 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to Yimchunger community and the people of the state on the occasion of Wangtsunuo festival, which falls on April 16.

“Wangtsunuo means ‘hut making festival’. It is celebrated to invoke God's blessings for a plentiful harvest and protection of the crops from natural disasters,” read Ravi’s greetings, while wishing good health, peace and prosperity.

“It is a time to bond with one another. During the celebrations, Yimchungers exhibit their magnificent traditions and customs wherein the youth familiarise themselves with their roots,” it added

Rio took to Twitter to extend his greetings. “Happy Wünthsünio to the Yimchunger community of Nagaland. May it bring blessings of good health, peace and prosperity in everyone's life,” he wrote.
