Dimapur, Jan. 8 (EMN): With the onset of third wave of Covid-19 pandemic in the country and the rapid surge in Covid-19 cases, the state-level war room on Covid-19 has been re-activated with the chief secretary and chairperson of state executive committee of Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) as the chairman with members from the key line departments.
The state level war room would ensure unity of command and control in the fight against Covid-19 in Nagaland, stated a DIPR report. It would also ensure sharing of all the relevant information on real time basis so that prompt and effective action could be taken by the concerned departments, officials, agencies for preventing the spread of Covid-19 as well as for making prompt necessary interventions, whenever required, for further strengthening the health infrastructure and the clinical management of the Covid-19 patients.
The state level war room for Covid-19 would function in the conference hall of the chief secretary at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
Core committee members of state level war room for Covid-19 pandemic would be headed by the chief secretary J Alam as chairman, along with DGP Nagaland T John Longkumer, additional chief secretary and finance commissioner Sentiyanger, principal secretary of Health department AS Bhatia, principal secretary of PHED E Mhonbemo Patton, Home commissioner Abhjit Sinha, commissioner Rovilatuo Mor, finance secretary Kesonyu Yhome, NSDMA secretary Lhouchalie Viya, principal director of Health department Dr. Neikhrielie Khimiao, and deputy general of HG&CD Medozhalie Pienyu as members.
