Nagaland: Government Polytechnic Seithekema-C completes student induction programme

Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Government Polytechnic Seithekema-C in Chümoukedima created history on August 17 by becoming the first institute in Nagaland to complete the first ever Student Induction Programme (SIP) for a total of 26 students. The SIP was conducted at the institute over a period of three weeks from July 27 to August 17 covering all the nine modules given in the handbook for SIP provided by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

An update from the institute stated that the curriculum of the Induction Programme included basic arts, crafts humanities, games and sports, fitness routine, literature, culture, lectures by health professionals and eminent people and interactions on universal human values.

It stated that the students along with all the staff and faculty of Government Polytechnic Seithekema – C, Chümoukedima, embarked on the memorable journey of self-exploration, bonding with fellow human beings, holistic development of oneself and many more. The activities included familiarisation with the institute, visits to local areas such as Patkai Christian College and Orphanage (Nagaland Outreach Gift Ministry) at Seithekema-C, physical exercise, games and sports, inspirational movie screening, virtual reality (VR) sessions etc.

It mentioned that the attitude of the students towards life has been completely transformed after the Student Induction Programme and added that the response and participation from the students was commendable, who have played a major role in making the programme a success.
