DIMAPUR — In view of an ongoing eviction drive against illegal immigrants in Assam, Nagaland government has issued an advisory directing all deputy commissioners to remain vigilant and take proactive measures to prevent any potential influx of displaced individuals into the state.
An advisory issued by the commissioner of Nagaland on Monday noted that there is “apprehension/risk that some displaced individuals may attempt to cross” over into Nagaland.
In this regard, the deputy commissioners have been directed to heighten vigilance within their respective jurisdictions to prevent any such influx.
