
Deep Kumar and the Nagaland Pencak Silat girls' team,
proudly displaying the medals won at the ASMITA Khelo India National Ranking
Pencak Silat Women’s League.
- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Pencak Silat girls' team secured 10 medals at the ASMITA Khelo India
National Ranking Pencak Silat Women’s League for Senior Women.
- According to an update, the championship took place at the
Sher Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar, from April 5 to the 8th and was
hosted by the Indian Pencak Silat Federation.
- The Nagaland contingent was led by head coach and general
secretary Deep Kumar.
- The medallists in the Tanding (sparring) event were as
follows: Liike Kibami and Avikali V Shequi each won a gold medal, Niya Thono
secured a silver medal, while Hatneinem Khongsai and Hinokali both earned
bronze medals.

- In the Artistic event, the medal winners were Liike Kibami
and Hatneinem Khongsai, who won the silver medal in ganda, and Hinokali,
Avikali V Shequi, and Liike Kibami, who claimed the bronze medal in regu.
- It was mentioned that these athletes had also won medals in
the ASMITA Khelo India Pencak Silat Women's League, North East Zone, held at
the DBC Indoor Stadium, Dimapur, on March 17 and 18. The event was hosted by
the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association.
- The ASMITA Khelo India Women’s League is a flagship
initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This league is
dedicated to fostering women's participation in competitive sports, providing a
platform for young female athletes to showcase their talent at national and
international levels.

(SAI), the league aims to bridge the gap in women’s sports and empower athletes
with opportunities for growth and excellence.
