
Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Community Health Initiative, in collaboration with Breeze Women Welfare Association (BWWA) and powered by Menstrual Initiative, Nagaland, conducted a one-day programme on menstrual hygiene management and child rights at Livingstone Foundation International on May 17.
An update from BWWA informed that Avonuo Kire, extra assistant commissioner of Dimapur, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Some highlights of the programme included awareness on menstrual hygiene management by Alokali Zhimomi, who has authored a book entitled ‘Menopause-Embracing your midlife;’ Yoga demonstration session by Orentsani from Aesthetic Fitness; and informative talk on ‘Child Rights’ by Lika Chophy, 1st Runner Up of Miss Nagaland 2021.
Report added that female students from Grade-VI to XII and lady mentors attended the programme. It stated that free sanitary pads were also distributed by the members of Community Health Initiative.
