Dimapur, Oct. 21: Nagaland will be receiving the ‘best horticulture state’ at the 11th Global Leadership Awards in New Delhi. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Sunday.
Rio tweeted: "The 11th Global Leadership Awards has been declared & #Nagaland will be awarded the Best Horticulture State. Agriculture Leadership Awards recognises the leadership roles played by individuals & institutions for positively impacting the lives of farmers & rural masses".
The 11th Global Agriculture Leadership Summit and Leadership Awards 2018 is scheduled to be held from Oct. 24 to Oct. 25 at Hotel Hyatt Regency in New Delhi.
"Agriculture Leadership Awards were instituted in 2008 to recognise the leadership roles played by individuals and institutions positively impacting the lives of farmers and rural masses. The awards will be presented at the Global Agriculture Leadership Summit on Oct. 24 in New Delhi at a special session 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm at Hyatt Regency in New Delhi. The awards will be presented by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and joined by Prof. MS Swaminathan and Prof. Ganeshi Lal, governor of Odisha in the presence of over 400 global business leaders, experts and government officials,” Rio tweeted.
