- DIMAPUR — The
fourth edition of the Nagaland Futsal Club Championship commenced on Thursday
at the Futsal Centre, Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence, Sovima,
Chümoukedima.
- Organised by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and the
Nagaland Futsal Club Committee (NFCC), the Inaugural ceremony was attended by H
Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor for Tribal Affairs and Election, as the special guest.
- On the occasion, Kiyeka S Sumi, senior vice president of NFA
and convenor of NFCC, delivered the keynote address. Sebastian Zumvü, chairman
of Sovima Village Council, delivered a short speech.
- On the first day, six matches were played. Nyenshen FC
(Tuensang) faced Chümoukedima SC (Chümoukedima) at 3:50 pm, followed by
Lengreng FC (Peren) against Tribals United FC (Dimapur) at 4:50 pm. Vanguard FC
(Tseminyu) competed with Aphuyemi FC (Zunheboto) at 5:50 pm, while Proper V FC
(Mon) took on Zasivi FC (Kohima) at 6:50 pm. Later, Aphuyemi FC (Zunheboto)
played Nyenshen FC (Tuensang) at 7:50 pm, and Zasivi FC (Kohima) met Lengreng
FC (Peren) at 8:50 pm.
