The Nagaland Football Association conducted the U-20 boys' trial in Chümoukedima for the upcoming Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men's National Football Championship.

DIMAPUR — An under-20 football boys trial was held at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium on Saturday.
According to an update, the trial was organised by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) for the forthcoming Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men's National Football Championship, which will be held in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, from May 2 to the 24th.
Altogether, 264 young players came forward for the trials from all over Nagaland and successfully cleared the first phase of the selection.

L Shahoto Yimchunger, Joint Secretary of the NFA, encouraged the young players before the first phase of the selection. He urged all the players to play consistently, stating that hard work, dedication, and discipline always beat talent.
For those who were not selected, he encouraged the boys not to give up their dreams but to chase them with pure dedication, wishing them the best in the days to come.
He also appealed to all the selected boys to be more dedicated and sincere and to make good use of the advice imparted by the coaches, as they will represent the state.
