
KOHIMA — Nagaland Folkloric Group is set to perform at the 12th Toraja International Festival scheduled to be held in Indonesia on Aug. 10 and the 11th.
Taking to X, Task for Music and Fine Arts (TaFMA) announced the same and shared: “The 12th Toraja International Festival, Indonesia. Wishing our Nagaland Folkloric Group the very BEST!”

TaFMA shared that it is honored to be associated with the 12th edition of the Toraja International Festival.
Members of the Nagaland Folkloric Group are: Phangmei Konyak, Arenchenla Walling, Zisela Rudithonger, Sanbolong Jamir, Moangtemsu, and Mhasivolie Suokhrie.
Speaking to Eastern Mirror, Phangmei Konyak, informed that the team will be performing seven songs at the festival.
When asked how the group is looking forward to performing on an international platform, she said, "This is a very big opportunity for us to showcase our rich Naga culture. We’ve decided to sing in different dialects to tell the story of our diversity but also to show our oneness through this platform."
Phangmei added, "We hope that many more opportunities will open for our Naga people at the international level."
She mentioned that the Nagaland Folkloric Group has been practicing a lot and has faith that through prayers they will do justice and deliver their best during the performance.
The group will be leaving for the festival on August 6.
