
DIMAPUR — The directorate of Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) bade farewell to its outgoing director, V Lovitoli Sema, during a programme held in its conference hall on Tuesday. The programme was chaired by its superintendent, K Ningboi Haolai.
Speaking on the occasion, the additional director, Lanutoshi Jamir, thanked the outgoing director for her unwavering support during challenging times. He expressed gratitude for her guidance and leadership and the positive impact she had made in the department.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Also speaking on the occasion, the ADS of Peren, Neisazo Domeh, commended her efforts in diversifying the public distribution system (PDS) by introducing additional commodities such as onions, pulses, and iodised salt, stated an update from the directorate.
In her farewell speech, the outgoing director highlighted the unique nature of the Food and Civil Supplies department, which operates under close monitoring from the ministry. She has emphasised on the need for officers to embrace computer and technical knowledge to stay updated with the evolving times.
She also stressed on the significance of effective supply chain management and manpower handling within the department as they play a vital role in ensuring efficient service delivery.
She further expressed gratitude for the beautiful memories and the support received from all the officers and staff during her tenure in the department. She added that the memories of hard work and dedication exhibited by the team would hold a special place in her heart.
The programme concluded with a mass prayer.
