
G Ikuto Zhimomi with officials and coffee entrepreneurs from
Nagaland during their participation at Coffex Istanbul Expo 2025 in Istanbul,
Turkey.
- DIMAPUR — With
the vision of the Department of Land Resources, Nagaland, to promote Nagaland
coffees, a nine-member delegation led by G Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor, Land
Resources, participated in Coffex Istanbul Expo 2025.
- The delegation included Kevekha Kevin Zehol, former
Commissioner and Secretary, Land Resources; Hekato N, Additional Director, Land
Resources; and five coffee entrepreneurs from Nagaland representing Nagaland
Coffee, Été Coffee, Juro Coffee, YES Coffee, and Coffee Lady.
- The event was held from May 9 to the 11th in Istanbul,
Turkey, according to a DIPR report.

- The Consulate General of India in Istanbul, Mijito Vinito
Chishi, was instrumental in facilitating the participation by liaising with the
Coffee Board of India and the Government of Turkey. This resulted in the
involvement of the Nagaland delegation.
- Coffex Istanbul serves as the premier international trade
fair and promotion platform for coffee and related industries in the Middle
East, uniting coffee enthusiasts and professionals. The visit aimed to enhance
knowledge of coffee cultivation, processing, and marketing and to explore
global trends and market linkages.
- During the three-day event, the team engaged in cupping
sessions, workshops, and interactions with international stakeholders in the
coffee value chain.
- It was stated that they gained firsthand exposure to diverse
coffee processing methods and flavours and an understanding of market dynamics,
including consumer preferences, pricing strategies, cutting-edge technologies,
and sustainable innovations.
