Musicians Takotemjen Chang and Temsujungba Jamir of the band ‘Trance Effect’ have secured an international endorsement deal with Japanese guitar manufacturer FGN Guitars, marking a significant milestone for artists from Nagaland on the global music stage.
FGN Guitars, also known as Fujigen, is a Japan-based brand established in 1960 and is recognised for its high-quality craftsmanship, having worked with some of the world’s leading guitar labels.
Chang and Jamir have built a reputation for tightly synchronised performances, alternating between rhythm and lead roles to create a layered sound.

Their growing profile includes a performance at Lollapalooza India, where they shared the stage with rock band Def Leppard, and a Southeast Asian tour that expanded their international presence.
The duo’s sound blends Chang’s blues and funk influences with Jamir’s alternative and grunge-inspired style, shaping the identity of ‘Trance Effect’ as an emerging act from the region.
The endorsement is seen as a significant achievement for the musicians and reflects the increasing visibility of artistes from Nagaland in the global music industry.
