Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): The directorate of School Education (DoSE) has informed heads of institutions in Nagaland that children aged six years and above would be eligible for admissions to class 1, under the provisions of the Right to Education Act 2009 and National Education Policy 2020.

It further informed that admissions to pre-school, anganwadi or balvatika would be for children aged three to six years, an update from DIPR informed on Monday.

It further stated that children already admitted to pre-schools or class 1 in age groups below the specified norms prior to the issue of the notification would be allowed to continue with the same.
