DIMAPUR — The Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) has called upon its members to wear black bands or badges on August 16, as a mark of respect and solidarity for the female doctor who was tragically raped and murdered in Kolkata.
This symbolic gesture is being undertaken in support of the All India Federation of Government Doctors' Association (AIGFDA), which is mourning the loss and demanding justice for their deceased colleague, it said in a press release on Thursday.
Given the short notice, NIDA requested its district units to take the initiative in arranging for the black bands/badges for their members and document their participation.
