Dimapur, Jan. 14 (EMN): In view of the impending third wave of Covid-19 pandemic and in partial modification to the earlier orders, the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, has issued an order for strict compliance with immediate effect up till January 31.
1. Social, political, religious, entertainment, academic, cultural gatherings and other public gatherings would be restricted and allowed up to 50% capacity or up to a maximum of 200 persons, whichever is lower, subjected to all participants being asymptomatic and fully vaccinated against Covid-19. In case there is an unavoidable need to have bigger gatherings, they should obtain permission from the district task force (DTF).
2. Night curfew would be imposed from 9 pm to 5 am with effect from January 9 in the district. However, goods vehicles, vehicles transiting the district without any stopover, movement due to medical and other emergencies, agricultural purposes and any other movement permitted by the DTF would be exempted from the purview of the night curfew.
3. Restaurants, gymnasiums, parks, places of entertainment, recreation areas etc. would be permitted to open/operate with up to 50% capacity and all visitors and staff and all other concerned should be asymptomatic and fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
4. Any person entering the state, above 12 years of age, including those full vaccinated, would be required to carry a negative Covid-19 test report done through RT-PCR/ TrueNat/ CB Naat with the swab given for testing not earlier than three days of the date of arrival in the state. If the incoming traveler is not carrying a negative Covid-19 test report or has a negative report but is symptomatic or is below 12 years of age and symptomatic, he/she would be required to undergo testing for Covid-19 at government approved rates at all the point of entry in the state and the person concerned would be in paid/ home quarantine till the declaration of the test result. The aforesaid provisions would come into effect from January 10.
5. The physical/offline classes for studying up to class 8 would remain suspended/ closed till January 31.
6. Any student of class 9 and above and who has completed 15 years of age would be allowed to take admission for regular/ offline classes only if he/she has taken at least one dose of the vaccine against Covid-19.
The notification cautioned that any person/ group found acting in violation of the above orders/ SOPs/ guidelines for preventing the spread of Covid-19 would be liable to be prosecuted under relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and other legal provisions as applicable.
