Nagaland: DC Kohima informs on ASF infected zones

Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): Following detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) at various locations in Kohima, the deputy commissioner of Kohima, Shanavas C, has declared infected zones and surveillance zones.

In an order dated September 8, the DC has declared Kezocha including 1 km radius of infected premises as infected zone and 10 km radius from the infected premises as well as 9 km radius outside the infected zone as surveillance zone.

The order also banned slaughter of pigs, import and export of pigs and piglets and transportation of pigs and pork. Public are informed to strictly adhere to the restrictions in the aforementioned locations until further order.
