Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, informed that the total restriction of all vehicular movement from Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge) to New Chumoukedima (Pakala Pahar Bridge) has been extended from 10:30 pm to 5 am with effect from September 25 to October 24.
In addition, the DC has restricted all vehicular movement from 3 pm to 3:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 5 pm to facilitate the use of explosive till October 5, a DIPR report stated on Friday.
The DC mentioned that the alternative route from Dimapur -Kohima/ Kohima-Dimapur for light vehicles only is available via 7th Mile - New DC Office –Shokhuvi – Razaphe – Mhaikam – Pimla – Mhainamtsi - Jhornapani/ Medziphema and vice versa. The DC stated that the restrictions was imposed as a preventive measure to avoid loss of life, property and other injuries.
