Dimapur, Jan. 13 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Secretary, J Alam, inaugurated the CSR Initiatives Unnati Skill Centre and Innovation Studio at the Secretariat conference hall in Kohima, on January 12.
Referring to the Unnati skill innovation, the chief secretary asserted that young people in Nagaland are enthusiastic to learn and would perform positively given the platform. Alam added that such kind of skill innovation opportunities should be provided to the younger generation.
He also stated that the partnership with Boeing would help the people of Nagaland to progress.
Ramesh Swamy, CEO of Unnati skill Centre India; Sudeep Dube, partner of Learning Links Foundation; Praveena Yagnambhat, Boeing chief of staff and BGE Lead; Thavaseenlan K, principal director of School Education; Kenilo Apon, commissioner and secretary of Higher and Technical Education; M Nakro, director of Technical Education; and Dr. Katoni Jakhalu, director of Higher Education, also spoke during the inaugural function.
Joint secretary of IDAN, Renny Wilfred, in his welcome address, thanked the chief of staff and BGE Lead, Boeing international, for proposing to set up a youth empowerment center in Nagaland.
Wilfred also thanked the department of Technical Education for coming selflessly and acting as the facilitating agency to take forward the ongoing project in the state.
After Inauguration of the four projects, Praveena Yagnambhat handed over MoU to the chief secretary.
