Nagaland Covid-19 update: State’s tally inches close to 11000-mark as 79 new cases detected

Dimapur, Nov. 24 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 79 new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 10931.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘79 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Tuesday); Kohima-61, Peren-9, Dimapur-8 and Mon-1. Also, 50 positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-41, Kohima-5, and two each in Peren and Mokokchung,’ tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1471 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1417 are asymptomatic, 33 mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen and eight critical in ICU. The state has also recorded 9291 recoveries and 61 deaths, out which six have been ruled as ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 797 cases, followed by Kohima-431, Peren-156, Tuensang-46, Mon-30, Phek-7, Zunheboto-2, and one each in Kiphire and Mokokchung, while Wokha and Longleng have zero cases so far.
