Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): No fresh Covid-19 cases or deaths were recorded in Nagaland on Thursday while six patients -- five in Dimapur and one in Tuensang -- recovered.
The state's total recoveries have increased to 30,268 and the death toll remained unchanged at 683 with no fresh fatalities reported in the last 24 hours.
An update from the state's department of Health and Family Welfare informed that the state currently has 110 active cases, out of which 93 are asymptomatic, 13 mild, three moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, 85 are in Dimapur, 12 in Kohima, nine in Mokokchung, and four in Kiphire, while the rest of the districts are Covid-free.
India reported 9,419 coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the country’s Covid tally to 3,46,66,241, while the active cases increased to 94,742, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,74,111 after 159 fresh fatalities were reported, it stated.
The recovery of 8,251 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,40,97,388, it said.
With the administration of 80,86,910 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 130.39 crore (1,30,39,32,286).
