Nagaland Covid-19 update: No fresh cases from 317 samples tested

Dimapur, June 18 (EMN): No fresh Covid-19 positive case recorded in Nagaland on Thursday, keeping the total number of cases in the state at 193.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through a tweet on Thursday morning.

"Out of 317 samples tested, no positive cases for Covid-19 have been reported,” the minister tweeted at 8:25 am on Thursday.

This is the second time the state has recorded zero positive case in a day.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 103 patients as ‘recovered’.

As per the Health department’s update, there are still 90 active cases in the state and no death so far.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees from Chennai were tested positive for the coronavirus.

The number of positive cases crossed the 100-mark on June 6 as 13 returnees from Chennai tested positive for the virus.

The number of Covid-19 recovered cases in the state hit the 100-mark on June 16 after 11 more tested negative for Covid-19 in their second test on Tuesday, taking the recovery tally to 103 in the state.
