Dimapur, July 6 (EMN): Thirty-one more Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Nagaland in Monday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 622.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
"Out of 356 samples tested, 32 fresh positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed," Phom tweeted on July 6.
The minister went on to inform that out of the 32 new cases, 20 were from Mon and 12 from Dimapur. The state's tally now stands at 622 with 391 active cases, and 231 patients declared recovered.
Nagaland recorded its first cases of Covid-19 on May 25 after three returnees from Chennai were tested positive for the virus. The number of cases has spiked since and some frontline workers too have been tested positive but health officials said that there was no community spread in the state yet.
