Dimapur, Oct. 28 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has reached 8824 with 98 new cases detected on Wednesday.
According to the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, 98 new Covid-positive cases have been reported: Dimapur-71, Kohima-13, Mon-5, three each in Tuensang and Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire, Wokha and Zunheboto.
‘The state also recorded 114 recoveries: Dimapur-53, Kohima-46, Tuensang-13, and Mon-2,’ the minister tweeted.
According to the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1840 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1747 are symptomatic, 73 mild, 12 moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen, three critical on oxygen and four critical on ventilator. The state has also recorded 6869 recoveries and 34 deaths, out of which ‘six are not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1378, followed by Kohima-275, Mon-78, Mokokchung-52, Peren-19, Zunheboto-14, Tuensang-11, Kiphire-9 and Wokha-2, while Longleng and Phek have zero cases.
