Nagaland Covid-19 update: 82 new cases detected

Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 82 new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state's tally to 2,580.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, in an update on Thursday.

"Tested 606 samples for Covid-19, out of which 82 cases came out positive. 58 cases in Dimapur, 22 in Kohima and 2 in Phek. Necessary contact tracing have been activated and all primary contacts are under self isolation," the minister tweeted.

According to information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1886 active Covid-19 cases, 685 recoveries and six deaths.

In regards to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1177 active cases, followed by Kohima - 410 Mon - 199, Peren - 3, Phek - 14, Mokokchung - 9 and Zunheboto - 58, Wokha - 12, Tuensang - four, and no cases in Longleng and Kiphire.
