Nagaland Covid-19 update: 79 new cases detected, no deaths

Nagaland recorded 79 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, pushing the state’s tally to 29,920 and active caseload to 828.

The Health and Family Welfare department updated that out of the 79 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 43 were in Dimapur, 24 in Kohima, four in Tuensang, three in Phek, two in Wokha, one each in Mokokchung, Mon and Zunheboto.

The state’s death toll remained unchanged at 600 as no fatalities were reported on Saturday, while the number of recoveries rose to 27,601 following recovery of 66 patients.

On Saturday, 21 patients recovered in Mokokchung, 18 in Dimapur, 17 in Kohima, six in Tuensang, three in Longleng, and one in Peren. 

Nagaland currently has 828 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 648 are asymptomatic, 140 mild, 15 moderate on oxygen, 11 severe on oxygen, seven in ICU without ventilator and seven in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 319, followed by Kohima with 191, 185 in Mokokchung, 25 in Wokha, 24 in Zunheboto, 23 each in Mon and Phek, 13 in Longleng, 12 in Kiphire, seven in Tuensang, and six in Peren.
