Dimapur, Dec. 8 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 61 new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 11,479.
This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
‘61 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Tuesday): Kohima-35, Dimapur-22, and two each in Wokha and Zunheboto. Also, eight positive patients have recovered. Kohima-5 and Peren-3,’ tweeted the minister.
According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 628 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 576 are asymptomatic, 34 mild, 13 moderate on oxygen and five critical in ICU.
The state has also recorded 10,666 recoveries and 67 deaths, out which seven have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 357 cases, followed by Dimapur-175, Tuensang-41, Mon-24, Peren-17, Wokha-6, Kiphire-4, and two each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto, while Phek and Longleng have zero cases.
Meanwhile, the advisor for Industries & Commerce , Labour & Employment , Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Imnatiba, has been tested Covid-positive.
“I have tested positive for Covid-19 today (Monday). I sincerely request those who came in contact with me to kindly get tested and pursue necessary precautions for the safety of all. Keep me in your prayers,” hr tweeted.
