Nagaland Covid-19 update: 57 new cases detected; tally stands at 9264

Dimapur, Nov. 5 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 57 new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 9264.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘55 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Thursday); Kohima-28, Dimapur-26, Mon, Peren and Mokokchung 1 each. Also, 144 positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-72, Kohima-58, Mon-6, Peren-5 and Zunhebotot-3,’ tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1055 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 999 are asymptomatic, 36 mild, eight moderate on oxygen, seven severe on oxygen and five  critical cases in ICU.

The state has also so far recorded 8078 recoveries and 45 deaths, out which six are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 700 cases, followed by Kohima-264, Mon-47, Mokokchung-15, Tuensang-13, Zunheboto-5, Kiphire-5, Peren-3, and Wokha-2 and Phek-1, while Longleng  has zero cases so far.
