Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has touched 9,207 with 56 new cases detected on Wednesday.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
The minister tweeted that out of the 56 new Covid-19 cases, 27 were in Dimapur, 24 in Kohima, two each in Mon and Tuensang, and one in Phek. He added that 148 patients had recovered: Dimapur-134, Kohima-12, and one each in Mokokchung and Mon.
According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, the total number of recoveries in the state so far is 7,934.
“The active cases are 1,143 and there have been 38 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 1,091 active cases are asymptomatic, 34 active cases are mild, 8 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 6 active cases are severe on oxygen, and 4 active cases are on ventilator,” Sinha informed in his daily update.
“Further, out of 9,207 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 3,977 cases of armed forces/ police, 1,664 cases of returnees, 3,120 cases of traced contacts and 446 cases of frontline workers.
“A total of 63,055 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 61,850 samples have been received. In addition, a total 33,973 samples have been sent for testing on TrueNat and results of 33,945 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 4,207 samples have been tested,” he added.
