Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 42 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the state's tally to 4220.
The department of Health and Family Welfare, government of Nagaland, updated that 42 new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Monday- 36 in Dimapur, which include 35 from the armed forces and 1 from contact tracing; and six in Kohima, which include one each from returnees and frontline workers, two each from the armed forces and contact tracing.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, also tweeted that Nagaland currently has 699 active cases out of 4220 total cases, and 175 patients recovered on September 7. ‘All precautionary measures to prevent the spread of virus have been initiated,’ he added.
The state has recorded eight deaths due to Covid-19 so far.
