Nagaland Covid-19 update: 33 more detected; tally nears 900-mark

Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): Thirty-three more cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported on Tuesday, July 14 taking the total tally of the state to 878.

This was informed by the minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Tuesday.

"33 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. 24 in Kohima, 3 in Dimapur, 2 each in Peren & Longleng and 1 each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto," the minister tweeted on Tuesday morning.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 340 patients as ‘recovered’ and there were 538 active cases in the state and no death till date.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.

As of July 14, Dimapur has the highest cases among the districts with 162 active cases, followed by Peren with 136 active cases; Kohima with 111 active cases; Mon with 83 cases; Tuensang with 28 cases; Phek with eight cases, Mokokchung with five cases, Zunheboto and Longleng have two cases each and Wokha with one case.

As per the severity of the symptoms, out of 538 active cases, 523 cases are asymptomatic and 15 cases are mild.
