office conference hall in Kohima on February 26.
- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) held an emergency meeting on
February 26 in the conference hall of the head office in Kohima, attended by the
office bearers of the NCSU head office, district office bearers, and members of
various communities.
- According to an update, during the meeting, the house
resolved to stand for "one government, one tax". It was also decided
that if any NCSU bona fide member faces hardship or undesirable circumstances
regarding taxation or demands from any quarter, they should promptly report the
matter to the NCSU head office.
- Additionally, it was resolved that any government official
or engineer possessing Class-I contractor registration with NPWD should be
removed without delay, as such an act is illegal and punishable under the law.
The house also urged the government of Nagaland to sincerely publish the work
programmes of each department of the state government for the financial year
2025-2026.
- Further, with regard to PMGSY-III for 2023-24, a thorough
on-the-spot verification should be carried out by all the district units of
NCSU. A detailed report should be submitted to the NCSU head office latest by
March 13, 2025, for further necessary action in the matter.
