The Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union delegation met with newly appointed NPWD Engineer-in-Chief Swarai Meru to discuss cooperation in public works.

DIMAPUR — A delegation of the Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers Union (NCSU) called on the newly appointed Engineer-in-Chief of the Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD), Swarai Meru, at the PWD office in Kohima on Wednesday.
The NCSU delegation, led by its President Pele Khezhie and General Secretary John Kath, extended greetings and congratulations to Swarai Meru on taking charge of the office and conveyed best wishes for a successful tenure, according to an update.
During the meeting, the union discussed matters concerning contractors and suppliers in the state and highlighted the importance of continued coordination, communication, and cooperation between the NPWD and the contracting community.
The NCSU expressed hope that under his leadership, the department would further strengthen its engagement with contractors and suppliers and create a conducive environment for the smooth and timely execution of public works across Nagaland.
The union also assured the engineer-in-chief of its full cooperation and support in the discharge of his responsibilities and expressed its readiness to work closely with the department in the larger interest of infrastructure development and the people of Nagaland.
