DIMAPUR — Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) is set to participate in a prestigious cultural and educational collaboration “Echoes of the Hills: Exploring the Choral Performances of India and Thailand” scheduled to be held at Chiang Mai in Thailand from July 1 till the 5th.
An update issued on Friday informed that the Indian Studies Center, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand extended an invitation to NCM, an institution affiliated with Nagaland University and the Champion of the First Nagaland Choir Games 2025, to participate in the upcoming event.
The project that aims to strengthen artistic and academic connections between India and Thailand through the universal language of music seeks to foster meaningful cultural exchange, encourage mutual learning, and create opportunities for engagement between the two communities.
A highlight of the programme will be the main choral concert on which will be held on July 3 at Chiang Mai University, where NCM choir and the Chiang Mai University Choir would share the stage in a celebration of musical excellence and intercultural friendship.

The update informed that NCM has emerged as one of Northeast India’s leading institutions for music education and performance dedicated in nurturing musical excellence.
The conservatory provides professional training in music and has gained recognition for producing accomplished musicians, educators, and performers.
Under the leadership of Lipokmar Tzudir, NCM has performed internationally and has represented India on prestigious stages across Europe, including appearances in Belgium, Spain, Ireland, and Norway.
The forthcoming collaboration in Thailand marks another important milestone in the growing cultural relationship between India and Thailand and highlights the power of choral music as a bridge between communities, traditions, and nations.
