DIMAPUR— The Nagaland Government Registered Class 1 Contractors Union (NGRC - 1 CU) has flayed the member of Bihar Legislative Council, Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, for labeling them as “corruption brokers/addicts, and not being specific, if any”.
In a press release, the union accused the BJP leader of tarnishing the good name of its members by putting a “blanket blame” on everyone without particularly pointing at anyone.
“The union is shocked beyond words that a visiting emissary of the ruling BJP at the Centre spewed venom and created much frustration among its members on a supposedly happy occasion,” read the press release.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]It went on to condemn the remark of the BJP leader, terming it as ‘arrogant, insensitive and unbecoming’.
Meanwhile, the union lauded the Modi-led government, as it celebrates the 9th anniversary, for its “pro-development strategy towards peace, prosperity and progress”.
It may be mentioned that Jaiswal had reportedly said at a press conference in Dimapur that “brokers”, comprising politicians, bureaucrats, engineers and contractors, eat up a major portion of the funds sent by the Centre to the northeastern states, which is why there is no development in the region.
He also reportedly said that at least 17 senior Nagaland government officers were under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate.
