DIMAPUR — The
Health and Family Welfare department has informed all the Chief Minister Health
Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) government employees and pensioners (EP) that the
permissible reimbursement period for treatment, as per the previous notification
dated March 28, 2024, has been extended.
The new reimbursement period has been extended from November
1, 2022, to March 28, 2024, as outlined in the notification dated December 18,
2024. This extension supersedes the previous period of November 1, 2022, to
December 31, 2023.
The department, in the update, further mentioned that in
cases where treatment is undertaken after the deduction of the medical
allowance from the beneficiary, irrespective of whether the treatment was
carried out in a hospital empaneled under CMHIS or under the old MR scheme,
reimbursement for the cost of treatment will fall under CMHIS (EP).
For government employees, if the treatment was undertaken
before the deduction of the medical allowance from the beneficiary,
irrespective of whether the treatment was carried out in hospitals empaneled
under CMHIS or under the old MR scheme, reimbursement for the cost of treatment
will fall under the old MR scheme.
Reimbursement for both is subject to the terms and
conditions, which specify that the cost of treatment shall be considered for
reimbursement as per the approved CMHIS (EP) Health Benefit Package rate or as
recommended by the State Medical Committee constituted under the NHPS.
Reimbursement shall be permissible for treatment undergone
from November 1, 2022, to March 28, 2024, only.
